FAQs

  • Why does the quality of protein matter to me?
  • The biggest difference between high quality protein supplements and low quality is the bioavailability (how much your body absorbs). Protein is commonly attributed to fat burning, weight loss and increased lean muscle mass. It's a vital nutrient required for building, maintaining, and repairing tissues, cells, and organs throughout the body; supports a strong immune system and provides energy. Protein is one of three macro-nutrients. Quality complete protein contains all nine essential amino acids, they are essential because our bodies cannot make them, so we must get them from food. A protein supplement will only be effective if it can be absorbed by the body, this is the key to quality protein that will deliver results. Brie's offers quality whey and plant-based products.

  • Do Brie's products have sucralose?
  • Absolutely not. Brie's is committed to offering products without artificial flavors and sweeteners.
  • What are net carbs?
  • Not all carbs are the same. Net carbs are the total carbs minus the fiber. Only a small percentage of fiber is digested, most of it passes through the digested system without being absorbed by the body. Therefore, net carbs is a more accurate measurement of the amount of carbs absorbed by the body. Fiber is necessary to remove solid waste and metabolic byproducts that build up in your body. The combination of quality protein and premium grade fiber will help you feel satiated, keep you regular, prevent bloating and studies have shown it promotes fat loss.

  • California Prop 65 Notice
  • Prop 65 warnings are seen throughout California in a wide range range of settings; restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals, hotels, schools, and on a wide variety of consumer products including supplements, dietary and herbal.
  • Almost all foods and beverages contain levels of one or more of the substances listed by the State of California. The substances list is updated at least once a year and includes approximately 800 chemicals. It was first published in 1987. In most cases the exposure levels established by Prop 65 are less than what occurs naturally in fruits, vegetables, grains, and even drinking water. Proteins, plants, and minerals are all well-known to contain substances that exceed those allowed exposures o the Prop 65 list.
  • The State of California requires a warning for any product sold in or shipped to California that has any one of the 800 chemicals above a certain amount set by Prop 65. For example, the Prop 65 limit of 0.5 mcg/day for lead is far below the no observable effect level for chemicals listed as "reproductive toxicants"- such as lead. All of Brie's products shipped to California will have a Prop 65 warning label on them, in addition to accepting the order with the Prop 65 notice prior to completing your transaction.
